Steel wire ropes
Checking rope strength and the performance of its termination under the specified load.
TALURIT · 100 TONNE TEST BED
TestCom Group provides tensile testing services for steel wire ropes, wire rope slings and lifting accessories at its own testing facility using a Talurit horizontal hydraulic test bed.
Testing is performed at our facility under an agreed testing programme, with the load and test arrangement selected according to the specimen and technical requirements.
Services TestCom Group
TestCom Group provides tensile testing services for steel wire ropes, wire rope slings and lifting accessories. Testing is performed at our facility using a hydraulic test bed. Load parameters, the test arrangement and the testing programme are agreed with the customer according to the specimen characteristics.
Equipment application
A horizontal testing machine applies a controlled tensile load to specimens and assemblies when the selected fixture arrangement and the documentation for the specific unit permit this mode.
Checking rope strength and the performance of its termination under the specified load.
Checking sling specimens under an agreed testing programme and safe fixture arrangement.
Assessing the quality of a swaged, spliced or other termination where required by the method.
Testing lifting gear after confirming that the specimen is compatible with the test bed grips.
Operating principle
The outline below describes the general operation of a horizontal test bed. The actual sequence, load limits and safety requirements are determined by the machine documentation and the approved testing programme.
The specimen is identified, attachment points are checked and the test arrangement is selected.
The specimen is installed between the load-bearing elements and alignment of the applied force is checked.
The hydraulic system applies tensile force according to the agreed programme.
The force and observations are recorded in the test documentation for the specific test.
Equipment photographs

Equipment construction
The photographs show a long load frame, a testing zone and a separate hydraulic unit. The exact measurement channels, grips and safety equipment must be confirmed from the documentation for the specific test bed.
The long horizontal structure provides a working zone for specimens of considerable length.
The hydraulic unit provides controlled application of tensile load.
The specimen is positioned along the test bed between the load points; the arrangement depends on the available tooling.
The sensors, indication and result-recording system are confirmed from the documentation.
Confirmed information
| Manufacturer | Talurit |
|---|---|
| Name | 100 Tonne Test Bed |
| Equipment type | Horizontal test bed |
| Load application principle | Hydraulic |
| Maximum testing force | 100 tonnes according to the original equipment description |
| Application | Tensile testing of wire ropes, slings, terminations and compatible lifting gear |
| Dimensions, power, weight and accuracy | To be confirmed from the passport and technical documentation for the specific unit |
| Configuration and grips | To be confirmed from the documentation and selected testing arrangement |
100 tonnes is the maximum testing force, not the lifting capacity of a crane or hoisting mechanism. Specifications of a current official Talurit series must not be assigned to the photographed test bed without confirmation of its identity.
Lifting equipment testing
Horizontal test beds of this class may be used for proof load testing and, where the configuration permits, break testing. The specific mode is selected according to the programme, customer requirements and capabilities of the individual unit.
A proof load checks specimen behaviour without claiming failure, where this mode is included in the programme.
Break testing is permitted only when the suitability of the test bed, guarding and measurement system has been confirmed.
The strength of terminations and connections is assessed with regard to the specimen design and securing method.
Before work starts, the programme, acceptance criteria, reporting format and customer-supplied documents are agreed.
Industrial applications
The Talurit 100 Tonne Test Bed may be relevant to engineering teams, wire rope manufacturers, oil and gas companies, rigging contractors and organisations requiring documented lifting-gear verification. The application scenario and commercial status of the specific installation are discussed separately.
FAQ
It is the nominal maximum testing force stated in the original description. It does not mean crane lifting capacity and does not describe a hoisting mechanism.
Wire ropes, slings, terminations and other compatible components. Suitability for a specific specimen is checked against its dimensions, grips and the programme.
No. Official specifications of current Talurit series cannot be transferred to the photographed installation without confirmation of the model and documentation.
This mode is possible only with a confirmed configuration, safety measures, measurement system and approved programme.
Useful information includes specimen photos and description, WLL, securing arrangement, required load, test location and reporting requirements.
The commercial status, configuration, price and delivery time for a specific installation are confirmed separately. This page does not represent a fictional offer or stock claim.
